About the Role
We are creating a flagship series of events that will be livestreamed on YouTube and open to live participation on Zoom for alumni in academia from all fields (economics to neuroscience) sharing career paths, research insights, and the impact of a UWC education. This is your chance to shape a new, high-impact alumni initiative and contribute to building community and inspiration across the UWC network.
We are hiring a Webinar Series Project Leader to coordinate our UWCers in Research Webinar Series, featuring alumni who’ve volunteered to share their experiences and insights. Working with the current SciCol outreach team, you'll design and execute a compelling series of events that spotlight our alumni’s research journeys and impact.
In this role, you’ll blend event management, marketing, and product thinking, collaborating closely with alumni and stakeholders to craft high-impact content and experiences. Your efforts will amplify the voices of UWC alumni and strengthen our research community.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with volunteer alumni to schedule and structure webinar sessions.
- Collaborate with the SciCol outreach team to define themes, formats, and event flows that maximize engagement and learning.
- Manage logistics, including invitations, platform setup, communications, and rehearsal coordination.
- Promote the series through outreach—email, social media, and campus networks—to attract participants and ensure turnout.
- Ensure quality of the experience: manage speaker onboarding, technical checks, and post-event feedback.
- Reflect and iterate: gather feedback and performance data (e.g., attendance, engagement) to improve future webinars.
You Might Thrive in This Role If You:
- Have experience in event coordination, especially virtual events or webinars.
- Are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
